What information do we collect?

We collect several kinds of information:

  • Feedback through visitors emailing departments and staff at Quantel
  • Personal information from users that choose to register with the Quantel websit
  • Site usage information from server logging tools

Feedback

This includes any message sent to Quantel staff or departments via email or web based contact forms. Some queries that are of a technical nature may need to be referred to suppliers.

Personal Information

The Quantel website contains information that has restricted access placed upon it. In order to access this information you may choose to register with Quantel. The registration process collects information including your name, contact details, company information and product information in order to verify your entitlement to access this information.

Site Usage Information

Information about visitor’s use of the website is recorded to allow us to track the trends of use and deliver content in a manner that is suitable for the browsing environment of the user. This information is used only to improve website performance and has restricted access to it only by authorized persons within Quantel. No information collected through server logging tools is made available to third-party companies.

Cookies

Cookies contain a small amount of data that is downloaded to your computer’s hard drive. This data contains a unique identifier that is used by the website to maintain user sessions and as a filter for server logging tools. These cookies do not store any personal information.

Quantel takes its obligations under the Data Protection Act seriously and has adopted measures to ensure compliance with each of the eight principles, including the fair processing and security of personal information.

Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 individuals may request a copy of the personal details which Quantel holds about them. In accordance with the Act an administration fee of 10 will be charged for providing this information.
